Pursuant to Va. Code Sec. 65.2-605.1(H), the Commission has developed a proposed regulation to provide a legal framework for electronic billing, processing, and payment of medical services and products provided to an injured worker subject to the Virginia Workers' Compensation Act. The proposed regulation will expedite the submission, processing, and payment of bills for medical services rendered to injured workers pursuant to the Virginia Workers' Compensation Act utilizing nationally recognized standards. The proposed regulation is available in the June 11, 2018 edition of the Virginia Register of Regulations at http://register.dls.virginia.gov/details.aspx?id=6921. The Commission will accept public comment on the proposed regulation through August 10, 2018. Written comments may be sent by mail to James J.
